30 Neutral Christmas Decor Ideas

I’ve been wanting to do a post on 30 Neutral Christmas Decor Ideas for the longest time.

This year, I feel like I really need to experiment with something new and fresh when it comes to my Christmas decor.

I’m thinking of going with a neutral palette.

I know, I know. It’s so hard to do because I love my traditional colors on my Christmas tree, but I think I’m going to try it.

I’ve been looking on Pinterest and have found some absolutely stunning neutral Christmas decor ideas that I can’t wait to share with you.

1. Use a lot of white

If you’re looking to create a neutral Christmas color palette, white is going to be your best friend.

You can use white as your base and then add in other neutral colors to create a beautiful look.

2. Create a snowflake wonderland

The dining room is the perfect place to create a winter wonderland.

The all-white color scheme and snowflakes give a subtle nod to Christmas without being too in-your-face.

The greenery and wood tones in the tablescape help to warm up the space and add some color that isn’t too bold.

3. Use birch logs

Birch logs are a great way to add some natural texture to your decor.

You can find them at most craft stores or even in your own backyard. I love to use them in my Christmas decorating, and I especially love them in my fireplace.

If you don’t have a fireplace, you can still use birch logs in your decor.

Try stacking them in a basket or using them as part of a centerpiece on your dining table. The possibilities are endless!

4. Make a winter wonderland

If you live in an area that doesn’t get snow, you can still create a winter wonderland in your home.

This mantel, decorated by Rooms For Rent, features a flocked tree and lots of white accents to create a snowy scene.

5. Add a little sparkle

A little bit of sparkle can go a long way in a neutral space. I like to use metallics and glass to add a bit of shine to my Christmas decor.

This year I used gold, silver, and mercury glass ornaments on my tree. I also added a few gold candlesticks and a silver tray to my mantel.

6. Use lots of candles

Candles are a great way to add ambiance to any space, and they’re especially cozy during the holiday season.

I like to use a lot of candles in my Christmas decor to give the space a warm, cozy glow.

You can use candles in a variety of ways, from placing them on your mantel to setting them on your dining table to lighting up your front porch.

No matter where you use them, candles are sure to add a touch of warmth to your neutral Christmas decor.

7. Add a touch of gold

Gold is a classic Christmas color that can be incorporated into your neutral decor in a subtle way.

This stunning gold and white mantel from Randi Garrett Design is a great example of how to use gold as an accent color.

Here we see the use of gold in the ornaments and the star on top of the tree.

The gold really pops against the white and cream colors we see throughout the rest of the decor.

8. Create a winter tablescape

This neutral winter tablescape by Kismet House is a great example of how to use neutral elements to create a festive look.

The white tablecloth and white dishes create a neutral foundation, while the greenery, pinecones, and white candles add a wintry touch.

The black napkins and candlesticks add a touch of drama to the table, and the wood chargers add warmth and texture.

9. Add a little rustic charm

Rustic decor is the perfect style to pair with a neutral Christmas color palette.

The textures and wood finishes of rustic decor look beautiful next to a simple color palette of white, black, and green.

I love the way the wood finishes in this space look next to the greenery. It’s simple and understated, but still so beautiful!

10. Use lots of greenery

Faux greenery is a great way to add a touch of Christmas to your home.

You can use it to fill in empty spaces, drape it over shelves, or even create a beautiful garland.

I used faux greenery to create a simple garland on my mantel. I added some white berry picks and a few small ornaments to give it a festive touch.

If you have a lot of greenery in your home, you can easily add small ornaments or ribbon to create a cohesive look throughout your home.

11. Add a little black

I’m a neutral girl through and through, but I love the look of a little black mixed in with the neutral Christmas decor.

You can go with black and white buffalo check or black and white stripes.

I’ve even seen some really cute black and white plaid. The options are endless and you can add as little or as much black as you like.

Conclusion

We hope you love these neutral Christmas decor ideas as much as we do! Regardless of the style you choose, we hope you have the best holiday season. Happy decorating!
