35 Boho Halloween Ideas
With Halloween just around the corner, I wanted to share some of my favorite boho Halloween ideas.
If you’re like me, you love Halloween, but you’re not really a fan of the color orange.
It’s just not my color. I’m more of a pastel girl, but I still love Halloween!
So, I have a few ways to incorporate the traditional colors of Halloween in a more boho way.
1. Add a dose of boho to your Halloween decor
If you love the idea of a Halloween party but don’t want to go all out with a spooky theme,
lean into your love of boho decor and create a chic Halloween party with a boho twist.
Add in some pumpkins, a few Halloween-themed treats, and some chic black and white decor. You’ll have a Halloween party that’s both fun and stylish.
2. Incorporate a boho costume into your Halloween plans
If you’re not a huge fan of dressing up but want to get in the Halloween spirit, a boho costume is a great way to do it.
You can incorporate your costume into your plans without feeling like you’re going overboard.
This is the perfect option if you’re going to a casual get-together with friends or just want to dress up for a fun date night.
You can also wear your costume to a Halloween-themed event if it’s not too over the top.
3. Create boho Halloween crafts
I love creating Halloween crafts in a bohemian style. You can make a macrame pumpkin, a boho Halloween wreath, or a yarn wall hanging in Halloween colors.
I made this Halloween yarn wall hanging using a simple wrapping technique. I used a stick from my yard and some yarn in black, cream, and burnt orange.
I also added a few wooden beads to the yarn to give it a little more texture.
You can add a few Halloween shapes to your wall hanging, or keep it simple and just use the colors.
If you’re not a fan of the traditional Halloween colors, you can always use a color palette that you love and add a few Halloween shapes to your craft.
I used a few spider web shapes cut from felt and glued them to my yarn wall hanging.
You can also use a stencil and paint your shapes onto your craft.
4. Host a boho Halloween party
If you love to entertain, then you have to throw a boho Halloween party! You can use all of the ideas I’ve shared today to create a magical space for your guests.
I love the idea of having a pumpkin decorating station where guests can decorate pumpkins to take home, or you can use them as your party favors.
Decorating pumpkins is a super fun and easy activity that’s perfect for all ages.
And, of course, you have to have a costume contest! You can award prizes for the scariest, funniest, and most creative costumes.
5. Try a boho Halloween makeup look
If you want to keep things simple, you can still add a touch of bohemian to your Halloween costume with a creative makeup look.
Think of your makeup as an accessory to your outfit. It’s the finishing touch that pulls everything together.
I love the idea of a bohemian makeup look because it’s so versatile. You can make it as simple or as extravagant as you want.
You can also use makeup you already have on hand, or you can get creative and try something new.
In this look, I used a few of my favorite makeup products to create a simple, yet stunning, boho look.
I added a shimmering gold eyeshadow to my lids and used a bronzer to create a warm, sun-kissed glow.
I painted some small gold stars on my cheeks and added a few layers of mascara to my lashes. I finished the look with a swipe of pink lip gloss.
This look is perfect for a bohemian goddess costume, but you can also play around with different colors and styles to create a look that’s unique to you.
6. Dress up your pets in boho Halloween costumes
If you’re a pet owner, you know that Halloween isn’t just for kids.
You also have to dress up your furry friend in a Halloween costume and take them trick or treating.
Whether you have a dog, a cat, a bunny or any other pet, there are plenty of boho Halloween costumes out there to choose from.
You can even dress up as a matching duo with your pet. You can be a fortune teller and dress up your dog as a crystal ball.
You can be a witch and dress up your cat as a black cat. The possibilities are endless!
7. Create a boho Halloween tablescape
If you’re planning on hosting a Halloween dinner or party, you’ll definitely want to have a spooky tablescape as the centerpiece of your decor.
This boho Halloween tablescape is so simple to put together and looks so elegant!
